About Us
More than you care to know.

In 1979 my son and I purchased the semi-finished gun stock business first started by George Madis.

Before we offered any product, we rebuilt and secured patterns, rebuilt machinery and purchased additonal machinery and tools to enable us to provide the high quality stocks requested by gun collectors and dealers.

My main responsibility was in gun repairs, stock fitting and finishing and restorations while my son excelled in the production of stocks.

After several years I retired to part-time in order to see some of the beauty of this and other lands.

I received my first gun, a 69 cent BB gun, on my fifth Christmas. I promptly shot my grand dad's Jersey cow, Baby, to see if she would jump.  She did, and I did as my dad taught me proper gun etiquette at the end of a leather razor strop. The lesson was well received, and to my knowledge, I have not shot another cow. I received my first "real" gun at the ripe age of twelve, and I have enjoyed collecting and gunsmithing since.

Over the years I have met a lot of great guys and gals doing this gun thing, and also a few old grouches that I have tried to forget.

Our gun stock business grew rapidly and soon I was forced to go "professional".  Many clients requested our stocks custom fitted and finished to their rifle and repairs made.  That then called for us to offer metal finishing and restorations to compliment these services.

In recent years we began to become overwhelmed with such orders, and my not wanting to be overwhelmed, I cut back on accepting these orders to a more acceptable rate.

The stock manufacturing has built to a record high and my son decided to cut back also and no longer offer replacement parts.

This is where I come in for this Web Site venture, to offer parts,  limited repair for old friends and to make a few new friends..

Thanks for your wading through this, but I warned you that it would be more than you cared to know.  Chas.
